Greenways Brisbane Strategy

This project was established to create a network of interconnected active transport corridors throughout the broader footprint of the City of Brisbane.

The aim was to develop a logical and coherent network centred on linking activity centres, open space and residential communities.

• Achieved broad agreement between governments and stakeholders on a strategic approach to creating a network of active transport corridors across metropolitan Brisbane
• Elements of the strategy were carried through into current planning, including the completion of the Integrated Transport and Land Use Inner City Strategy (ITALICS) and the draft Connecting SEQ 2031 and Transport Plan for Brisbane
